Nick tries to stick up for Avery and Daniel tells him he is no longer Phyllis’s husband or Summer’s father, so he needs to stay out of it. When Nick asks to speak to Daniel in private, Daniel says he will never understand Nick using Cassie’s death as an excuse for what he did. Avery and Jack assure Summer that they can get Daniel to let Phyllis stay in Genoa City. Meanwhile, Sharon worries that she could go to jail if Phyllis wakes up. Michael, Lauren, and Kevin question if Paul is any closer to finding Carmine. Paul assures them he has every available source looking for him.
